Buddhism: Daily Dharma
Meditation & Daily Reflection · for iPhone
A small daily practice grounded in early Buddhist texts. Each day gives you one short passage to read, one brief sit, one concrete thing to try in your day, and one question to reflect on in the evening. No feed, no account, no chatbot, no streaks.
Each day, four steps
- Learn (about two minutes). A short excerpt from an early Buddhist text, shown unchanged, with a plain-language explanation and a link to the source.
- Sit. A silent timer from 1 to 30 minutes with an optional chime, or a text-guided session with cues you can read and then close your eyes. Optional read-aloud uses the voices built into your iPhone.
- Live. One concrete action for your day, such as taking one slow breath before replying to a difficult message. You decide whether you tried it.
- Reflect. One question and an optional private note in a journal that stays on your iPhone. Writing is never required to finish a day.
Miss a day? Nothing breaks. There is no streak, no rank and no guilt. You pick up where you left off.
Read the texts in full, free
The Read tab holds the whole Library: all 120 bundled texts, read in full, free for everyone. That is the complete Dhammapada (26 chapters, 423 verses) and 94 discourses grouped by topic, each with a short original introduction, plus a glossary of 73 terms as the translations use them. Every text links to its original on SuttaCentral. Nothing in the Library requires a subscription.

About the content
Excerpts and the full texts in the Library are Bhikkhu Sujato's translations from SuttaCentral, released to the public domain (CC0) and shown unchanged; the 120 source files are pinned to one commit of SuttaCentral's repository with a checksum for each. Practice explanations, Library introductions, the glossary and the guided-session scripts were developed with AI assistance and checked against the linked source texts. That checking was done by a language model, not by a human reviewer or a teacher, so mistakes are possible. The app is not affiliated with the translator, SuttaCentral, or any Buddhist organisation. It is a beginner's companion, not a teacher or a community, and it makes no claims about spiritual attainment or medical benefit.
