Terms of Use

Effective September 29, 2026

These terms cover your use of the Water System Logbook app for iPhone ("the app"), published by Gabriel Petersen ("the developer", "I").

1. License

The app is licensed to you, not sold, under Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the "Standard EULA"), which is the Terms of Use linked in the app and on its App Store page. The terms below add to the Standard EULA. If anything here conflicts with the Standard EULA, the Standard EULA controls.

2. What the app is, and isn't

Water System Logbook is a record-keeping tool for people who take readings at water systems. It stores, charts and exports the values you enter.

3. Your responsibilities

You are responsible for the accuracy of the readings and notes you enter, for operating your water system safely, for meeting your sampling, recordkeeping and reporting obligations, and for any report you submit to anyone. Keep whatever other records your regulator requires.

4. Your records and backups

Your records are yours. They are stored only on your iPhone; the developer has no copy and can't recover them. You are responsible for saving backups (in the app: Settings › Backup & Restore) and keeping them somewhere safe. Deleting the app, or losing or resetting your iPhone without a backup, deletes your records.

5. Free rounds and Premium

6. Changes to the app

The app may be updated, and features may be added, changed or removed. Updates are delivered through the App Store.

7. No warranty

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the app is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including that it will be error-free or uninterrupted, or that any calculation, chart or report is free of errors. Check important values yourself.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, records, revenue or profits, or for regulatory fines or penalties, arising from your use of or inability to use the app. The developer's total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid for the app and subscriptions in the 12 months before the claim. Some jurisdictions don't allow some of these limits, so they may not all apply to you.

9. Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated. The current version is always posted on this page with its effective date. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
